Summing up the results of 2025, the Russian Society for Risk Management Risk Management Association demonstrates confident development and adaptation to new challenges. In 2025, RusRisk continued to work on developing risk management in the country and strengthening the company’s position as a national professional association of risk managers.
The main activities were aimed at achieving this goal:
- According to the feedback from the participants, the next 22nd Risk Management Forum was successfully held (Sochi Rosa Khutor, September 4-5), which was attended in a mixed format by about 400 risk management, insurance, experts and IT specialists, including 100 full-time.
- The results of the 20th Contest “The Best Risk Management in Russia” have been summed up.
- Together with DRT JSC, a study was conducted on the maturity of risk management in Russian non-financial companies, which resulted in a seminar.
- An article has been prepared in the annual report of the National Council on Corporate Governance on the state and development of risk management in Russia.
- During the year, joint events (conferences, seminars, webinars, etc.) were held with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Rosstandart, the All-Russian Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, VSS, CAO VSK, Syncretis LLC, Moscow State University, MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, St. Petersburg State University of Railways, etc.
- As part of the Laboratory of a Young Risk Manager project, two student conferences were held at MGIMO, and a master class was held at GUU.
- The ongoing seminar “Current issues of insurance protection for large industrial companies” continued its work (a seminar at MGIMO and two master classes at Moscow State University).
- RusRisk representatives participated and spoke at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee, conferences on risk management (Risk Russia) and insurance (IC-Energy, CFO-Russia), and published in specialized publications (for example, the journal Risk Management. Praktika”, the newspaper “Insurance newspaper New”, “Problems of risk analysis”, etc.).
- Work continued on the training and certification of risk managers of various companies and organizations on the basis of the RusRisk Certification Center, about 70 specialists received the “Professional in Risk Management” certificate (CRMP.RR) and a licensed DPO certificate.
- Our website has been updated, a Telegram channel is actively functioning, and a RuTube RusRisk channel has been created.
- RusRisk’s marketing strategy for 2026 has been developed.
- Despite the decrease in contacts with European colleagues for well-known reasons (primarily with FERMA), cooperation with the international Federation of IFRIMA and non-European national associations has been intensified. So, in 2025, the President of RusRisk participated in the conference of the American-Canadian Association RIMS (May) and the South African Institute of Risk Management IRMSA (October) and in the meetings of the Board of Directors of IFRIMA. We have discussed possible areas of cooperation for 2026 with our South African colleagues and plan to sign a corresponding agreement. The work of RusRisk experts in the relevant committee 262/ISO continued.
In 2026, we plan to strengthen RUSRISK’s noted activities and develop cooperation with government and business structures, the professional community, universities and other organizations to strengthen our position as a generally recognized national association of risk managers. An important task will be to develop digital activity and media presence (in addition to the existing ones, we are talking about MAX chat, VKontakte, etc.), increase interest in our Competition, and develop relations with Asian and African associations of risk managers, primarily in the BRICS countries. We also plan to develop and adopt the next three-year Development Strategy for RusRisk for 2026-2028.
