Results of RISKWORLD (RIMS -2025) and the IFRIMA Board of Directors

In early May 2025, the President of RusRisk participated in the conference and exhibition of the American-Canadian Association of Risk Management and Insurance in Chicago. This year, the largest (more than 10,000 members) and reputable professional Risk Management Association (RIMS) turned 75 years old and more than 11,000 participants, including foreign ones from 80 countries, came to the conference in Chicago. More than 300 companies were represented at the large exhibition. As always, the conference program was very rich (about 150 different seminars) and informative. The most pressing issues of introducing and improving the effectiveness of risk management in business and socio-political life, as well as an innovative and strategic approach to risk management and insurance were discussed.

The conference also included a meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Risk Management Associations (IFRIMA), which unites more than 20 regional and national associations, including RusRisk. The issues of strengthening the role of IFRIMA as an umbrella organization to help national associations increase the importance and role of risk management in business and government practice, promote the ESG agenda, implement Artificial intelligence, counter cyber threats, captive initiatives, certification project, etc. were discussed. An association from Nigeria has become a new member of the international federation. IFRIMA leadership elections were also held: Frank Baron (International SOS, Parima) was re-elected President, Charlotte Hedemark (FERMA President) was elected Vice President, and Yvonne Motibe (IRMSA President, South Africa) was elected Secretary. The reports and long-term plans for 2025-2026 of all members of the federation, including RusRisk, were heard.

Within the framework of the conference and exhibition, useful discussions were held on strengthening cooperation with colleagues in various fields, for example, with the heads of risk management associations in the USA, Brazil, South Africa, Switzerland, Malaysia and other countries.
