What does the certification program include?

The Certification of Risk Management Professionals (CRMP) certification program is based on the professional standard 08.180 “Risk Management Specialist”, Russia’s best risk management practices, and the requirements of the Pan-European Risk Management Certification System.

Who is the certification designed for?

Public and private companies that want to certify their employees in the field of risk management, as well as specialists who want to be certified as professionals in the field of risk management.

What are the requirements for certifiers?

Persons who meet the following requirements are eligible for certification: 

  • a bachelor’s degree (or higher) or an equivalent degree obtained from an accredited higher education institution;
  • candidates for the Risk Manager qualification must have worked in the field of risk management, internal control, or similar fields at the time of certification. Equivalents: An acceptable equivalent is experience in internal audit or internal control assessment, including external audits, quality system management, and other related risk management experience.

Who conducts the certification?

Authorized and inspected by the Russian Risk Management Society, RusRisk Certification Center, which operates in accordance with the Rules of the voluntary certification System and regulatory acts governing certification.

What steps do I need to take to get a certificate?

  1. Carefully read the requirements of the professional standard 08.180 “Risk Management Specialist”. 
  2. Get acquainted with the requirements for applicants.
  3. Fill out the Certification Application form and submit it with the accompanying documents to the RusRisk Certification Center at certification@rrms.ru
  4. Prepare for the exam on your own or through training and advanced training programs.
  5. Take the certification exam.

How does the certification exam go? 

  • The certification exam is conducted in the form of a test based on the 3KL e-learning environment software, using a license agreement with Open Technologies LLC. The test is scheduled to be administered on a specific day and time. Candidates are given two attempts to pass the certification test.
  • The certification test consists of 100 questions, with most of them being multiple-choice questions. There are no practice tests available. Candidates are not provided with sample test questions.
  • Each correct answer is worth one point, and the points are automatically calculated to determine the final result based on the number of correct answers.
  • Candidates can view their results immediately after completing the test. The program displays a table with correct, partially correct, and incorrect answers.
  • To pass the exam successfully, candidates must achieve a total score of 75 points or higher.

The program of additional professional education and professional development

The training can take place remotely or by correspondence.

Distance learning involves the student’s independent work with electronic materials posted on the educational platform “3KL e-learning Environment” by Open Technologies LLC and a printed textbook.

After signing the contract and paying for the training, students have round-the-clock access to electronic course materials for the period specified in the contract. 

The distance learning course is divided into 4 blocks, after each block students take a small intermediate test. The last intermediate test provides access to the certification test, but not earlier than the exam date specified in the contract.

Full-time and part–time training is a combined advanced course consisting of two forms of distance and full-time education.

The distance learning form (described above) involves independent training of students on an educational platform using electronic materials and printed textbooks. 

The face–to-face course consists of 12 live online lectures from our teachers, practicing senior risk managers with extensive work experience and research in the field of corporate risk management. Lectures are given 3 times a week after business hours for 2 astronomical hours in Webinar mode, and include a lecture of 1.5 hours and 30 minutes. The lecturer answers the questions of the audience, exchange of experience.
