Results of the RusRisk master class at Moscow State University

As part of the ongoing RusRisk seminar “Current issues of insurance protection for large industrial companies”, a master class on “The role of surveyor inspections in the organization of insurance protection for high-risk objects” was held at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University on April 2, 2024.

 

The master class was conducted by Ivan Aleksandrovich Shvyryaev, PhD, Head of Engineering Service of RK Insurance Broker and Andrey Nikolaevich Elokhin, PhD, First Vice President of the Russian Society for Risk Management (RusRisk).

 

During the master class, the following issues were discussed:

  • The main methods of quantitative risk assessment, examples of calculating the maximum loss;
  • Practical issues of organization of survey inspections;
  • Examples of recommendations from an external surveyor (engineering, organizational);
  • Methods for assessing the impact of implementing recommendations on insurance rates;
  • Procedures for interpreting the results of quantitative risk analysis and methods for ranking insured objects according to their degree of danger;
  • Strategies for reducing unplanned losses in the organization of insurance coverage.

Target audience: students, university staff and teachers; RUSRISK members; representatives of large industrial companies; representatives of brokers and other insurance market participants.

 

The format of the master class (full-time for students and staff of the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, remote – for external participants) allowed students, university staff and teachers; RusRisk members, industry representatives, and professional participants in the insurance market to participate in the event.
