1- From risk to resilience: take part in our corporate resilience survey in partnership with McKinsey

As we face increasing volatility and frequent disruptions, more than ever companies see corporate resilience as crucial to protect and create value. Resilience is a strategic competitive factor. What is the current practice within companies, and what are the contributions of risk and insurance functions ? This survey explores the relevance of resilience as well as current practices and future ambitions of the risk function / insurance manager. The objective is to demonstrate how the role of risk managers in resilience will evolve in the future. That’s why your members’ views truly count.

·         Questionnaire takes less than 15 minutes to complete.

·         The survey will close on Friday 18 June.

·         National data will be available by September.

·         A live webinar presenting the results will be organised beginning of September.

·         A full FERMA report will be made available to everyone who participates.

·         Link to survey  is here.

We encourage you to disseminate and promote the survey among your members and contacts. An email invitation template is available with Laetitia, who will contact you this week in order to align communication and plan the survey launch.

4- FERMA plans to host virtual debate on shared resilience solutions, sponsored by Dr. Alfred Sant MEP (S&D, Malta)

FERMA is looking into, with the support of prominent MEP Alfred Sant hosting a virtual debate on shared resilience solutions. The event will look to bring together speakers from the four-levels of a potential shared resilience solution, namely, insurers, brokers, risk and insurance managers and the state, as well as with the input of EIOPA. The objective of the event is to demonstrate that there are parties ready and willing to push forward the EU’s work on shared resilience solutions, which has unfortunately lost momentum. It is hoped the spotlight on the event could lead to further action by the EU institutions, perhaps eventually through the form of a public hearing in the European Parliament. Watch this space, and contact Charles for more details.
